As part of our 50th anniversary celebration, author Dan Powers discusses his novel, How Long a Shadow. With 150 years of Chicago history as the background, including the corner of Harlem and Lawrence, the book entwines the stories of three generations of men, from the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 through Covid 19 as each struggles with family, marriage, and fatherhood. Copies of the book will be available to buy.
