2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Eisenhower Public Library District
Second Floor Meeting Room A/B

Event Details

Meet Sharon Fiffer, the author of eight mysteries starring Jane Wheel. Recently laid off, separated, and heading for a midlife crisis, Jane is trying to make ends meet as a "picker" foraging for antiques at suburban Chicago's garage sales and flea markets. Her new career leads to more than vintage collectibles when she becomes the prime suspect in a murder. Filled with estate sale insider information, quirky supporting characters, and amateur sleuthing, Sharon's mysteries explore the everyday lives and disappearing small-town atmosphere at the edges of Chicago's metropolis.

Sharon Fiffer has taught in the Writing Programs and English Departments of the University of Illinois at Chicago, Barat College, and Northwestern University. She is the co-founder of the Wesley Writers Workshop and teaches several ongoing adult writing workshops. Her award-winning short fiction and non-fiction has appeared in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and several literary magazines.

Fans of the Antiques Roadshow and cozy mysteries are invited to join us for coffee, treats, and conversation. Space is limited.

Registration starts on August 1st for Norridge and Harwood Heights residents. Non-residents may register after August 8th.
